I took time out today for this quickish pencil and watercolour caricature in remembrance of Tim, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade in the Howard Government and war veteran among many other things.
A man I admired, perhaps because he was so quirky and unpolitical like. Despite the constituency he represented as leader of the National Party, he backed the Howard gun buy back scheme, because in light of the Port Arthur massacre, it was the right thing to do.
We will probably not see his like again.
