Barnaby

Mr New England, Barnaby Thomas Gerard Joyce MP. Pin up boy of the Australian National Party, former party leader and even more former 17th Deputy Prime Minister of Australia. Everyone knows the story, no point repeating again, after all it is a private matter.

Mad Tony

MAD (with apologies to Mad Magazine)

Earnest Catholic, seminarian and prominent SSM NO advocate whom I suspect thought that the postal survey would see the silent majority voice their opinion in his favour and usher his return to the top job.
He is the elected member for Warringah, a blue ribbon Liberal seat that returned a stunning 75% YES in the recent SSM postal survey. He represents these people in Parliament, who he deeply disagrees with.

His sister is Christine Forster, City of Sydney Counsellor, and prominent SSM supporter.

His daughters all voted YES in the postal survey.

V8 Juice Beetroot

Series of loose watercolours for new V8 juice packaging. Beetroot followed by a few others. Not the tight rendering that I am usually known for, but nice for a change.  #illustration #branding #packagingdesign #packaging#stevevanderhorst #stevevanderhorstillustration #watercolour #australia#australianartist #australianillustrator #australianillustration #v8#graphicdesign #v8juice #campbells #campbellsoupcompany#vegetablejuice #purplepower

James Squire Orchard crush Apple Cider

James Squire Orchard Crush Apple Cider tree. The kind of illustration work I do most of, Packaging and Branding. This is the new version replacing just the trunk which I did for the last one. Being versatile is a necessary prerequisite for this kind of work. You could be called on to do anything. Even the simplest illustration can be challenging as the briefs are fairly specific.
